Went yard selling the other day with my wife and happened along a Pacific 007 press. Aluminum frame (very lightweight, creepily so). Steel linkage and operating bar with a plastic handle ball. Press frame was in good shape other than the finish that could merely rub off with a finger tip. Steel was fairly rusted up. But not a bad project. So I broke it down to pieces and started stripping the finish all the way off (forgot to take pictures) and then started painting the frame and lower portion (remembered to take pictures) a nice blue.

Then I painted the linkage and operating bar a beautiful primer gray.

When painted I tried to give the ball a nice tap back onto the bar and promptly split the thing in two
WHOOPS!!!!!

So I just figured I'd make my own out of some birch that my neighbor gave to me and I think it turned out pretty nice.

Then I put it all back together again.

Pretty fun project, and I definitely recommend it to anyone with some ambition and a spray can.
