Desantis shoulder holster: tie downs

Howdy all,

Does anybody have a Desantis shoulder rig with the aligator clip tie downs?

How well do those clips work?

Do they damage the article that it clips to (belt or pants)?

Or do they clip loose enough to not damage anything but doesn't hold well?

Can these be converted to belt-loop tie downs? Would you want to do that?

I don't have one but I've seen them. I gotta believe that if they are strong enough to work properly, they are gonna be strong enough to leave marks on your belt or tear up the waist band of your pants....just kinda makes sense to me....I may be wrong.
