I have not been much this year, how often do you go to the range? Will start to go alot more next year because in New England the winter is not the best time to got there. Just tell how often you go.

I'll either shoot a match (which will be at some range or another) or go to a local range at least once per week. Occasionally more often.

Once every month or two.

Just finished adding up the rounds I shot last trip out, over 200 .30 cal from a '03 Springfield and a Mosin. No wonder my shoulder hurt like hell afterwards!

Because of work I have what turns into a 2-2 1/2 month period where I might get to the range once. Besides that I would say that I average once per week. Not unusual to end up more if I'm taking a carbine or pistol course. I generally will do a course in addition to a normal range trip, not in place of.

Just tell how often you go.
Being lucky enough to have a couple ranges on my ground and being retired I shoot almost every day. Sometimes several times a day.

I keep up my membership in a nice 300 yard range but it's about a 40 minute drive and I haven't been there in over four years.

I used to go every other week.... but the rising price of fuel cut me back to once a month and only occasionaly twice a month... the range is 45 miles from my house..... but worth the drive....

Been a hot summer. I am getting an IDPA match nearly every weekend but have been shorting my practice sessions.
Things are changing, it cooled off enough this evening I could sit on the front porch to set up my GPS and read for a while. Came in because the iron chair got hard, not from heat.

When I was laid off from full time employ for 8 months, once a week. Now that I work full time again, once a month...I have to use as many of my other days off to go groundhog hunting. Once regular hunting seasons start up again...probably not at all, unless I go Sunday and fight the crowds

Like Spartan Gladiator, not more than a handful of times each year. This is largely due to distance between me and suitable ranges. This will likely change, as one is to open in my county this year, and another just south of me likely early next year.

Two or three times a week. The one great thing about living where I do is that there are acres and acres and miles and miles of public land. I have two or three places I go depending on the guns I'm using and the distances I want to shoot. It's a hot sob though!

Luckily there is a free public range that is open during daylight hours on my way home from work. My shooting buddy and I both work nights so we hit the range up about once a week during the fall and winter when we get off work in the mornings. There is rarely anyone out there when we get there so we have the range to ourselves for a few hours.

You guys with your own range are KILLING me. I have to drive an hour and a half (on a good day) to shoot any of my rifles. That is the closest public range to me. It REALLY cuts down on how often I can go shooting. That's 3 hours of driving before factoring in anything else. And then it's $25 per shooter.....add in the ammo and gas costs, and it starts to be real money. Because of this I only go shooting maybe 4 times a year...not nearly enough. Hangun shooting I can do just minutes from my house (but not for free!)...but not the rifles. I envy you guys.

Warner

PS - If anyone here has a place near the Northwest suburbs of Chicago (meaning within an hour of Elgin, IL) that would allow or invite me to shoot (safely!) with them, I'd love to be invited!

I have a 150 yard lane on my property, depending on what crop is planted and what time of year it is. I try to go once a week. When it gets hot like this, I do get a little lazy and only shoot stuff that I have a bunch of mags for. That why I'm not in the heat as long. I also tend to shoot more reactive targets when it is hot since they don't require me to run out and change targets.

Not nearly enough, and certainly not nearly as often as I should. The fact that it's 99-plus in the shade around here this summer hasn't helped matters much, though it's a poor excuse. But this thread serves as a good reminder to get me out of house and away from the computer (right after I type this, of course) and out to the range.

At least once a week. Usually 3. Going in a few minutes with my .22LR target and 150 rounds just for fun and practice. Taking along the Security Six and a box of very old .357 mags in case I get the urge to see if they'll still go bang.

At least once a month as long as I can get my car through the dirt road that leads to the range. It's in the middle of nowhere in northern Idaho. When the weather is good and work doesn't interfere, I go at least weekly. If I had it my way, I'd go every couple of days year round.

Every week is my goal, but in reality maybe every 14-20 days. If I need a fix, I'll shoot my pellet rifle in my basement.

Depends on time of year, and other commitments that I have, but that is average.

The cost of ammo is the reason I bought the .22lr target pistol. I'd go 5-6 days a week if I could afford ammo. But after sitting down and adding up the ammo receipts from last month I know it's time to either shoot the .22lr 90% of the time or stay home. I can't afford 500-700 rnds of 9mm., 2-300 .40 cal., 200 .45acp's, every 2-4 wks. (not gonna count the .38 spec. and .357 mags). In the past 2 months I've used up what it took me 2 years to stock. It's been a fun 2 months but it's time for a reality check. I bought about 1000 rnds Saturday and that's it for awhile. I'm shooting only .22lr until next spring and everything else only once a month.
