Does any one have load data for the 45-70 in a Marlin Lever action 1895 using 425 -430 gr GC Cast bullets using IMR 3031 or H322

Welcome to the forum.

I usually load my 45-70 ammo with H4198 or Accurate 5744. I'm going to follow this thread because I'm curious about 3031 in the 45-70.

Elmer Keith load: 53 gr 3031 w 405.I've used 50 gr w/lyman fn 405 and it brings tears to my eyes in any position other than offhand[1886 w/steel butt plate]

My Lyman Cast Data reference in the 45/70 Gov't Lever Action section has:

RCBS 45-405-FN 425gr
IMR 3031
47g MAX
1543 FPS
CCI 200 primer

That's the best I have on the question. I suggest a couple of other reference points before working up on that.
