there's apart where the son, on his birthday, find a not from his mom in his lunch. She says, "When I married your father I thought I knew what love was. But on the day you were born I realized I had known nothing about love."

Welcome to the best-and most challenging- part of life.

January 24, 2004, 10:05 AM
My heartiest congratulations!!!

Now, the big question is, when Benjamin comes of age, are you going to start him off on a 22LR, or just skip right to a 9mm?

Congrats again!

January 24, 2004, 11:21 AM
blessings on your family:cool:

January 24, 2004, 11:25 AM

Are you still going to make the shoot???

January 24, 2004, 11:45 AM
Hearty congrat's to you and your lady. :)

My ''models'' were 1975 and 1977 .... and I hope you have the joy to come of not only cherishing their development but also reaching the stage where they are fledged, wed, settled and still bring as much joy to the heart.

January 24, 2004, 11:50 AM
Congrats Mpayne! I'm told you should enjoy the fact that the little one is asleep.

I have 3 weeks to stockpile my sleep...my own little one is due in 23 days.

May you have many more! :D

Eek! No thanks, two seems plenty!

Are you still going to make the shoot???

Well, yeah, sure. New babies are nice, but a day at the range is a day at the range! :D

Seriously, Mrs. Payne has already given me a permission slip for the THR shoot. She is a sweetie, even if she doesn't get the whole gun thing yet.

Now, the big question is, when Benjamin comes of age, are you going to start him off on a 22LR, or just skip right to a 9mm?

Hmmm. Well, he was born on the 22nd... :) On the other hand, those Kahrs have little grips... Decisions, decisions. I didn't know raising children would be so hard!!

I guess he'll shoot whatever his big sister (a flawless `02 model) lets him when she is done.

Thanks to everyone for the good wishes.

My models are '94, '96, '98. and '00. By '02 I got myself fixed! :D

Already starting to look at training and rifles for the oldest one.

God Bless, and congratulations. You have a beautiful baby boy.

Benjamin Daniel: Welcome to our world. Trust your Mommy and Daddy to lead you in the right direction.

Mrs Payne: good work, and we both know why they call it "Labor" don't we? My '80 and '82 models took a lot of sweat, tears and heavy breathing to push out into the bright lights and cold steel of the delivery room.

Ben's Older Sis: keep him in line and try not to think him too big a dork from ages 7-17, ok?

MPayne: Congrats and good work.

January 24, 2004, 06:22 PM
Holly? "Good work"??? Uh, his WIFE did the work. What HE did was.... Do know how this thing works, anyway? Hmmm... Mebby you need to have that 'little talk'...

Congratulations, Mr. Payne! That's one fine head of hair, uh, I mean, BOY you got there!

Wishing you joy and peace and some sleep now and then.

My # 6 is overdue by a week. :what:

You and the Missus obviously cheated on the genetic lottery; that kid is too good-lookin to be a result of random chance, even from very handsome parents. Was there voodoo involved?

Edit: Let me make my opinion clear here. I don't know what you or the wife look like, but even if y'all resemble Apollo and Aphrodite, respectively, you've both outdone yourselves.

February 20, 2004, 10:40 PM
The kid looks like his dad. Since I did not congratulat you in this thread yet, congratulations.

Tell me when this gets annoying. :) I won't listen, but tell me.

Like his mom, he can sleep anywhere.
Thanks again for all the kind words.

Tell me when this gets annoying. I won't listen, but tell me.

Spoken like a new Daddy! :D

What I wanna know is where all that hair comes from! Best we can manage is a bit of peach fuzz....
