Does anyone have a mild load using a lead 400g FP bullet? I would like to keep them well under 1000 fps to keep from leading. Thanks.

Trail boss. I run about 11.5 grains behind the MBC 400 grain lead.
Nice mild load and I haven't really noticed any leading (18 BHN bullets).

There's quite a few loads on this page;

I've used three or 4 loads from there with good success in my big smith, they work well, IF you consider being slapped in the palm of your hand fun.:what:

Here's another one;
