I have been using the Remington Lead Semi wadcutters 158 gr that are availible in a 2000 count box from midway usa. I tumble them in a little Lee liquid alox in a jar. The Key to no smoke with these is the powder I use; IMR Trailboss which is designed for target loads with lead bullets. It produces no smoke and has excellent accuracy, an added benefit is that trailboss fills the case so you can't get a double charge without overflowing the case. If you try trailboss I am sure you will be able to use you current lead bullets and there will be no smoke to speak of, and no complaints.

Powder Valley Inc is another good source for plated and jacketed bullets.

Yep, look up "longdayjake" here in the forum. I bought some plated .38's from him just a few weeks ago. I think right now he has plated bullets in several calibers in stock. He's a nice guy and a good businessman. Lives just down the highway from me.

Thanks for mentioning me guys. I have some great deals on some pulled speer TMJ right now. They are plated but the plating is so thick that they are like jacketed bullets. The new plated stuff I have in stock right now are actually x-treme bullets as well. I also have a great deal on 158 grain jacketed soft points. Any of those options will eliminate the smoke that is caused from shooting lead. The best deal I have in .357 right now is the 125 grain TMJ if that interests you right now.

I prefer the Berry's 158 gr. RN bullet for my 38 Special reloads.

Vegetable fiber wads under the bullet will reduce smoke too.
