Now you have to subscribe to access the articles. Now, I love the site, but I already donated 20 bucks via PayPal. Maybe I should e-mail him...:)

Hrmm... well, I'm sorry to hear that. I referred people to his page all the time... Once earlier this week if I recall.

In his defense, I know how quickly bandwidth can add up... :(

He's a good guy. His "Say NO to Gun Registration!" article was the first pro-RKBA article I've ever read.

His site must get a crapload of hits. Do a search on Google for any caliber of ammunition and his page is invariably in the top ten...

It's worth the price! Chuck's articles are the most detailed source of info this side of "Cartridges of the World." Plus, he's been very willing to correct errors and update details. I've emailed him a few times and gotten prompt responses.

Cool sight, but is it that cool?

He's obviously put a lot of time and effort into it, but I think closing off the content does a MAJOR dis-service to gun enthusiests everywhere.

I would have liked to have seen maybe MORE content get up there, and accessed on a subscription basis.

I often see subscription services fail when they start to charge for something that USED to be free. It's a mental block many people (myself included, and I fully understand and identify it.) have a very hard time getting around.

Chuck's site is gigantic - he has info on every production caliber of rifle and handgun ammunition. He gets millions of hits every month. That bandwidth is expensive; we all know it. There' no advertising on Guns and Shooting and there never has been.

Subscribe...it's well worth it.:)

this is why good sites need people to mirror them and releave some of the bandwidth load...

I would rather have seen some banners, at least I would still be able to access the content then. O well, time to find a new favorite info site, any suggestion?
