Hello All.

Just got back from the gun show this afternoon and bought a new bullet.

Hornady XTP 45 Cal 250 Grain HP/XTP.

I looked in my reloading books (Hornady and Lyman's), but was unable locate any data for the 250 grain bullet. Only seen 230 grain data.

Anyone have any info on loads for this bullet? Thanks..

That bullet is designed for the 45 Colt cartridge not the 45 acp. You may find data if you search but..

Like Ol Joe said - you have bullets for .45 Colt revolver - not .45 ACP.

Speer has 260 Gr .45 ACP data which will be safe with 150's. If your pistol will feed them, you can use them, but that bullet is intended for a revolver, not an auto. I have shot plenty of 250 Gr Raniers designed for .45 Colt in my 1911.
