Hello all,

I am in the process of finding the sweet load for my POF-308 in hope of competing in an upcoming F-Class competition. Right now I am beating up the Sierra 155 HPBT Match. Here are the results for today's test round. I am looking for advise or suggestions on where to take this bullet next. If you would like to see a target for a particular test let me know, I have pics for them all.

Thanks

Just curious, any reason why you are loading them with such a short COAL? You will be single loading them in F Class, so they don't have to fit your magazine, and you may find better accuracy by loading them long.

I used the book recommendation for that length. I have been thinking about adjusting it. I am not sure how far to push it out or what the max length would be. I read somewhere about moving the bullet closer to the lands and that it can change pressure too. I am open to advice.

Well, I'm not familiar with the POF-308, so I don't know how they cut their chambers, but I suspect you can seat them out quite a bit more. Seating them out more doesn't raise pressures unless the bullet is seated out so far that it is contacting the leade. I use a Hornady O.A.L. Gauge to determine how far out I can seat a bullet for a particular rifle, but there are other ways involving cuts in the neck of a resized case that will work also.
