Help me decide.

I know that they are completely different but I have been wanting both for some time now and am in a position to make a move. Both would be primarily range guns.

The GLOCK would receive a LPA rear sight and maybe a barrel while the 629 I would be tempted to put a red dot sight on it.

Thanks in advance

PS If you choose other, please leave a suggestion but only if the other choice is a 10mm or .44 Magnum ;-)

PSS Im leaning towards the .44 Mag

.44 Magnum will be easier to find in most gun stores (unless you order ammo online). S&W's are beautiful guns, but Glocks are well, just another Glock. Identical to the other 20 models you can buy. :neener: The .44 would also be a little better as a camp gun though! You can see where I am biased :D

Is it just a range toy, or do you have a particular use in mind?

.44 Mag is a bit more available than 10mm, but also more expensive.

Seriously, a range toy? Buy a glock 17 or 34. Atleast you can aford to shoot it alot more. With the glock 20 you can get a 40s&w, 357sig or a 9-25 cal conversion barrel for the glock from lone wolf so you will have a choice of ammo that you can play with. Unless you reload or start hunting forget the 29. The 10mm or the 44mag do get expensive to play. For equal money you can add a conversion barrel and maybe a red dot to the glock for the price of a 629.
