Hi All
I am overseas right now and don't have the casings or my manuals with me. But to I am going to be ordering some primers. So for 40S&Ws do I need large pistol or small pistol primers?

Thanks
Wild Bill

Officially, they use small pistol primers, but I use CCI small rifle primers for all my small pistol primer needs. Same dimensions, slightly thicker metal which is no problem for standard modern pistols (never had a FTF). This just keeps the variety of primers down for me.

FYI don't mix large rifle and large pistol primers, they are not the same size and are not safe to interchange.

If you use Remington, they recommend their "magnum" SPP, not the regular 1 1/2's.

Be Aware: Ordering primers from the USA to be delivered overseas would probably be illegal.

Thanks but not an issue. I am deployed for the next year the order will go to my house in the US not to me over here. Load them up while on leave and when I get back. But thanks for watching out for me.
