Remember the Forster Trimmer with Style (http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=510882&highlight=Forster+Trimmer+with+Style) Thread? Well having used it, tweaked it, and simplified it, it works pretty darn perfect now and has proved accurate to within .001".

If you want to see it in action, click the Video image below.
Sorry about the AVS4you video ad. It was the unadvertised part of the free trial. (tacky, but I guess I can't blame them) Its only on the first few frames and is because I haven't paid for it yet:rolleyes:....I'm impressed though...a simple, easy to learn, inexpensive video editor to use. Excellent quality...I will buy it.

It is as fast as the Giruad? Not quite, but you don't have to hold on to the brass tight while it cuts either. And it doesn't run continuously using a momentary switch from Radio Shack. You can see the trimmings come off so you know when its done. When they stop coming, you let go of the switch, release the lever, and the brass flips into the bin. Simple and easy to make.

I got rid of the complicated black box and microswitch. It proved inaccurate, and was totally unnecessary.

Then I added a power switch that switches on the vacuum and trimmer at the same time. (No more listening to the noise non-stop.)

The loudest noise, the vacuum, was moved behind a closed door in the storage room.

The video suggests the vacuum is less than 100% efficient. Centrifugal force is more powerful than that little unit. It does pick up about half. May have to try my big shop vac.
