Which .22 DA revolver has the slickest trigger?

My hands aren't what they used to be, plus I have become spoiled by my collection of older K-frame centerfires. I am eyeing the new gen kits, such as the 63, and the sp101 8-shots that are trickling out, but if I can find a used S&W my biases would probably take me that direction.

Unless a preponderance of posters here swear by one particular .22 trigger over all others. I like comfort in pleasure guns (as opposed to "working" guns).

Any opinions?

S&W K-frame 17 or 18 top the list. The J-frame 34/35's are nice but the K-frames have the best DA trigger pull. I like classic blue but the stainless counterparts are fine.

None will have a smooth or light a trigger as most any centerfire will have. They most have more weight on the hammer to be reliable.

I've never shot a Colt in .22 but my S&W Model 17 with the slightly reduced mainspring tension is as light and smooth as you'll find.

Basically any of the S&W K frame .22's in either blued steel, the preffered option :D, or stainless.

The S&W J frame .22's are somewhat stiffer in the trigger.

Smith & Wesson 17 or 18. (I've never fired a Colt 22 D/A so I can't comment on them.)

They have the added advantage of being less expensive than most of the new stuff around.

The coil springed S&W J-framed guns will never have the same smooth and light DA triggers as the K-framed 22's. my personnal favorite is the older K-22's but I also enjoy the 10 shot S&W 617. The older K-22's triger is significantly smoother than the current 617 but that's the price one has to payu for the 10 shot capability.

I like my Colt Officers Model Match. Trigger breaks like glass.

I prefer the trigger of my 70s vintage Model 18 to the trigger on my fathers 2003 vintage 617. Much lighter and smoother.
