RyanAnchors October 3, 2011, 01:59 AM Cross posting from CalGuns.net
It won't do anything, but having it on Obama's main site (it is only private link right now) would be pretty sweet...
http://wh.gov/4ug
It will not be posted to the main petition site until it gets 150 signatures. Please help!
http://wh.gov/4ug
We all know that this petition will not make Obama or Holder do anything. It won't cause them to suddenly own up to the situation and accept responsibility.
What it can do is put the issue in front of a LOT of people that may not be aware of the issue yet.
150 signatures to have a statement about Fast and Furious and Gunwalker placed on Obamas own website.
They won't be forced to act. They won't even be forced to respond with anything meaningful. But they, by their own stated policy, MUST at least post the petition to their own website.
That is IF 150 people sign it.
Please sign it.

JimPage October 3, 2011, 09:01 AM The petition is a good idea, but there's no way I will be registered member!!!!
Sorry
hso October 3, 2011, 01:15 PM I'll "sign" it as soon as I get the email for registration since anyone posting on this site is already on any lists being maintained by anyone (if any lists are being made at all ). If you're concerned about these sorts of things and you're not a genius at obscuring your identity you might as well sign up and participate or stay off the internet.
Walkalong October 3, 2011, 01:42 PM Yep, I have no doubt that I am on "the list", if it indeed exists. No one is hiding these days if they ever touch the internet.
You cannot win by hiding. You must stand up proud, say you are a gun owner & proud of it, and fight.
pcgeek86 October 3, 2011, 03:57 PM Petition signed.
Elm Creek Smith October 3, 2011, 07:00 PM Oddly, when I tried to register, the site seemed to be under maintenance. Oh, well.

whalerman October 3, 2011, 07:20 PM He's from New York, as I am. You can't expect a man from New York to be anything but afraid. It is part of life here in the Empire State.

Hmmm, convient for them eh?
danoam October 3, 2011, 10:01 PM Under construction for me too @10:00 PM
Strykervet October 3, 2011, 11:06 PM It doesn't matter if you sign it or not. They don't do anything with it. It was a feel-good thing they came up with to make people think they were participating in government.
I think it is also a ruse to get email addresses for direct pandering during the next election. I signed one of those petitions early on and instead of getting an answer, I got emails telling me who to vote for.
pcgeek86 October 3, 2011, 11:06 PM Shows 87 signatures for me @ 10:06 PM Central Time.
pcgeek86 October 3, 2011, 11:08 PM @Strykervet: Well, I'm inclined to agree with you, but regardless of how we think, we still have to do our best to achieve results in a legitimate fashion.
orionengnr October 3, 2011, 11:55 PM Well, I'm officially on "the list". Again. Or, more acurately, on another list. :)
Number 89.
See you in the re-education camp, brothers, and probably soon.
pcgeek86 October 4, 2011, 12:14 AM On a side note, I'd encourage you all to e-mail John Dodson (I tried John.Dodson@atf.gov and thankfully didn't get an automated non-deliverable reply), thanking him for exposing the agency's corruption.
Mike1234567 October 4, 2011, 03:40 PM Signed.
69Rebel October 4, 2011, 10:10 PM I went ahead and signed it. I wonder when DHS is gonna show up?
leadcounsel October 4, 2011, 10:34 PM Whatever is going to happen will happen, and the petition is meaningless - or worse, a way to gather names of enemies.
There are some congressmen calling for investigations.
robert garner October 5, 2011, 10:42 AM Whalerman;
All men are afraid, fear fathers courage, New Yorkers have the honor of being remembered as resourceful and tough round these parts, you will stand.

ccsniper October 5, 2011, 04:41 PM I'll sign the petition, but I will take it a bit further. Gonna bug the snot out of my congressmen to put the ATF under congressional investigation. There really should be more uproar over this
Old Fuff October 5, 2011, 07:21 PM I see that we now have 139 of the required 150 signatures.
As it has sometimes been said, "This is the time for all good men to come to the aid of they're country."
A very good and brave Border Patrolman lost his life because of the bloched Fast and Furious operation. Unfortunately there may be more. All that is being ask of us is a signature. That's a small price to pay for justice.

Exactly and... I repeat; So few of us are willing to be seen and, therefore, we relinquish our right to be heard...
And, to this, I'll add; Who among us are brave enough to be seen... and heard? If we have too much to lose then we may be valuing the wrong things.
FadingSwordsman October 5, 2011, 08:11 PM Signed. Only 9 signatures left.
Their website is incredibly glitchy. I had to work to get to the petition page where it would allow me to click the sign this petition button. You'd think that they would figure this sort of thing out...

Probably depends on what the petition is about how well the site works... it is the government
