tumbler media

I know this has been covered but I thought I would post my observation's. I bought a bag of "lizzard litter" Zilla ground walnuts and added to it the usual amount of Dillon case polish. The walnut media works quite a bit faster than the corn cob. It got the brass just as shiny but the color is a little more blond. The corn cob seems to leave the brass a little yellower. Has anyone tried a 50/50 mix of the two ?

Yes, I think the walnut media does a better job of cleaning the black fouling off cases.
I tried the 50/50 mix but really did not see the benefit.
Now, I use walnut/NuFinish primarily for cleaning brass with light polish (about 20-30 minutes for indoor range brass). If I want more shine, I will polish using corn cob media for 1+ hour.

I tried the 50-50 mix and didn't see any noteworthy gain.
I just use corncob and Nu-Finish for several hours, but I do "pre-clean" range brass with a secret formula in the backyard first.
I like shiny brass.

Yes, I use a 50/50 mix, and have been happy with the results.
