I'm fixing to get a new to me Swift and was wondering if any of you out there who shoot this old round had a favorite powder or two :)

H380.
I don't own a Swift now, but when I did I loaded a 55gr bullet with 40gr of one of Hodgden's most versatile powders. Not max, but very accurate in my old converted 98 Mauser.
IMR4320 is also very good in the Swift.

4064. For 52 gr bullets, the velocity is roughly linear with the load, e.g., 36.5 gr. = 3650 fps.
For volume loading, 760 meters better. Both are excellent in an old VZ24 action varmint rifle.

I prefer 2520 or Reloader 15 in my Swift. Better accuracy in my gun with these powders and V-max 50 gr. bullets.

I have used IMR-3031, IMR-4064, IMR-4320 and IMR-4350. Difficult to choose a favorite p- they all seem to work well within certain velocity ranges.

I've always been partial to the Dupont IMR powders.
Seems like there's always one of them that does what you want. :)

If you're interested and not yet aware of the site, www.hodgdon.com has a lot of up to date data for the Swift and many others, and it's easy to use.
