Anyone out there worked up a super load for the tikka 7mag?
With box ammo Im just under 1" 3 shot group at 100yds, have not shot a group with my handloads yet.

Can you narrow down bullet choices/weights/ammo purpose and desired velocities. Nothing at all wrong with 1 moa out of a 24 inch sPorter barrel.

I've had good results using a 154gr Hornaday SP over 64gr of h1000 in my tikka 7mag shooting sub 1" at 100yd

My old Ruger liked a Speer 160 pushed by IMR 4831...it was often a 1/2" 4 shot grouper
Dayum, I should never traded that one!

168 grain Berger vld, pushed by 68 grains of h1000. Gets me 2750fps and a cloverleaf at 300. Other than that it doesn't accomplish much

Try RE-19 or 22. You get more velocity with the 22. I am using 70.5 gr of the 22 and 140 gr nosler BTs seated .0015 off lands. Grouping is consistantly very good. I am still playing with seating depths and when that is settled will try a couple of different primers.

I get consistent sub moa groups with RL22 with just about any 140 gr. bullet seated just to the lands, but every rifle is different in this respect. FYI, 1" is a decent group with that 24" barrel.

Thanks guys, R22 is my current load, have not shot a group to see what its doing right now, but with box ammo I had a 3/4" group at 100yds. Ill try to get some time and get out there with my reloads and see where Im at.
