I got a buddy of mine convinced to help me build one of these things so i was wondering if anyone else has ever built one and could possible get some info on what to do.

No, too much work to do it right. Is Valkyrie Arms still making them? Top of my "want but will never have" list.....

A friend of mine built one, but he just made the suppressor a fake so it's not an NFA item. It's a bit tricky to get them 100% reliable on ejection - even the original ones had some issues.

I think the barrel or OAL wasn't quite 16, but yeah, I have seen some nice suppressed and Faux examples. On my 'oooh oooh CanIHaveOne' list.

Looks like they're under new ownership and back in production. I'd buy one of these before I'd try to make my own. Of course, I'd want the suppressed version. http://www.valkyriearms.com/delisle.htm

That was a tremendously cool gun. :D

I don't know why I torture myself looking at cool rifles when only one arm works.
Curse you.... In a good way of course... but that's a seriously cool tool.

Was going to post a new thread but found this and found this one. I am either making a de lisle or a x39 enfield, anyone know the difficulty in it?

Dnaltrop - what about a silenced Marlin Camp Carbine? They've built those in England for years.

Well when i find out the difficulty here in the next year i shall let you all know im kinda trying to buy up all the $100 enfields and turn them into 500s&w carbines or de lisle or maybe a 460, or 44 mag carbine or even one in 30-30.

I recently picked up a $95 sporterized SMLE to make into a Charleton semiauto. A DeLisle would be cool, but this will be more interesting.

I rebarreled my Enfield with a Rhineland arms kit. I profiled the barrel to use my 510 whisper can It does not extract or eject well though.

I am modifying it by setting back the barrel. I will make a new can for it that is permanently attached unless WA amends the law banning SBR's then in that case I will chop down the barrel and the can will be remain detachable.
Yeah, it's ugly. :)

Here is mine. Keith Norman at NFA investments made one and I was lucky enough to snag it off subguns. It is a two tax gun, sbr and can. She is one of my favorite firearms. She is a little "glitchy" about feeding the rounds sometimes but SO much fun to shoot. :)

I hear special interest firearms does good work on the delisle clones.
