Does anyone know of any finishes that can be applied to revolvers. I am looking for a black or OD green finish to cover my stainless S&W 696. I have heard of the boron carbide (something like that) and it looks good but I heard they have had alot of problems with it and the company has stopped coating firearms.

When I talked to Tripp about 2 months ago, they said they only do autos.

I contacted Metaloy(http://www.billyhill.com/metaloy/) and they quoted me $120(which includes return shipping) for a polymer finish(black or silver, matte or gloss) on a revolver. They were very helpful. Also, if I recall, the turnaround time was very quick.

I'm thinking ARS does this too, but haven't looked into it for a while.
