A Smith 64 is my house gun. I can leave it loaded for years without worry.

My 1978 vintage M64 and 1981 vintage M66.....I love those "seasoned" wheelguns!

I never had a 64. I'd always purchased K-frame magnums. Then ran 38's through them and scrubbed rings out of cylinders. :)
Then I ran across the J&G ad for the trade in 64's that they had for sale. I purchased one. Finest gun money I ever spent! The trigger is as good.....or better.....than my Performance Center revolvers.
Accurate little tack driver. Good looking too! No ugly MIM parts. Flash chromed hammer and trigger. I love my J&G 64. Enjoy yours !! :)

Question for any of you S&W 64 fans:
The crane my gun binds just a tad when trying to close the cylinder from full open. I switched screws from to back and lubed the heck out of it. But still does it....any suggestions? Buy new screws from midway/brownells? Or file one of these down a tad?(not very experienced smithing with guns beyond normal field stripping)
