Ok, lemme have it.

Whose got one? Any problems? Like it?

I think my next 1911 will be a no-frills GI "style" (I know the R1 isn't a genuine GI replica). The Remington is a contender. I really want to like them. They're a very nice looking pistol, and I like the company. I've had my hands on two of them but never fired one.

If there is a major criticism it's the series 80 trigger. It does get better over time. Mine has been very reliable with Remington magazines.

I enjoy mine. I don't really have a problem with the series 70 vs 80 triggers, so that's not a major complaint for me. The R1 is pretty close to the A1 specs as far as I can tell, with the obvious exception being the sights. I think the sights are more than adequate for my use, but replacing them would be simple since both are dovetailed.
