I have a question about using the following powders WC867, WC872, 844 and 846. I would be loading 9mm, 357/38spl, 44Rem Mag, 45APC and 45COLT.

These are all rifle powders. WC844 and WC8486 are OK for .223 up to .308. Wc867 and WC872 are for 50 BMG and 20mm cannon. Compared to pistol powders, these are expected to work in much larger volumes with much higher pressures.

You want a pistol powder.

Do a search on powder manufacturers' websites for shotgun/pistol powders.
Something like Unique will work in all, better for some calibers, medium well for others.

These are all rifle powders.

Yep, you can't just use any 'ol powder.

Agreed - those are NOT pistol powders.

Bullseye, Unique, Universal, Accurate #5 - those would do OK in all the calibers you mentioned.
I'm sure there's others, but those are the ones I know about.

Another vote for buying some Unique. It will do a fine job in any of the calibers you listed.

Some surplus pistol powders are available. If you choose to start reloading with surplus powders, be cautious; they typically come with instructions like ‘can be loaded using xxxx data’. If just starting out, I would use new production powder, where better data is available.

A new reloader has enough things to learn & try to understand without trying to save a penny a round using some "Mystery" surplus powder of some sort.

All that stuff is best used by experienced reloaders who already know what they are doing, and then some.

The only surplus pistol powder I've seen on the market lately is WC820. It's used in the 30 carbine and is similar to H110. A while back there was some WC297 around a while back which is a none canister version of W296 but I haven't seen it lately.

Good morning
Giving away Unique ?? That was the first powder I bought back when I ETSÚd in 74. Still use it and the name should tell you something.
But a very kind offer. Hey I am just south of you... well 4000 + miles. I sure could use a 8# jug.
