these Trausch grips really impressed me. the pachmayr compacs used to be the most comfortable to me when shooting magnums, until i put the trausch on. they are not as wide as the pachmayrs but have all the curves in the right areas. and aside from that i think they are pretty good looking.

Never heard of 'em, but they do look comfortable.

They do look nice...and comfortable. But if they are more comfortable than my old Hogues, I would be very pleasantly surprised.

Interesting. I've tried the Pachmayrs and Hogues and keep coming back to the stock grips as the most comfortable. I'd be interested in trying those Trauschs if I could find a set locally.

They seem large. The main use for my sp101 is concealment. My CT overmould grips are comfortable and compact.
I have a Service six that I carry if printing is not an issue. One more round and a better platform for magnum use.
Still... they look like they provide good grip

they seem to fill the hand a little better than the hogues, and they certainly are more comfortable to shoot magnums with than the hogues, to me anyway. a better all around purchase and no middle finger sting whatsoever. Trausch does have at least a few dealers in the USA, I don't know if that is what you meant by local, but if you go to there website they have links to places in the USA that you can get them from.

I can't get past that HUGE screw head.

I use two quarters to remove and install them. same size screw head on each side.
