Just wondering why it is that the popular semi-autos handguns are all black but blued revolvers aren't popular? The popular revolvers are all stainless (or some other silvery alloy). Same goes with rifles...semi-autos all seem to be black while w/ other action types stainless ones are gaining popularity. I've got my ideas as to why just wondering what every1 else thinks. :scrutiny:

Lots easier and cheaper to put a matte black finish on. A good blue job is time consuming and expensive.

Revolvers are no longer "tactical". Auto pistols and "assault rifles" are "tactical". To some folks, everything they have has to be "tactical". I am eagerly(?) awaiting the sale of tactical jockstraps.
