My LGS has one for sale for what appears to be a decent price, but I was wondering what people thought of them. Does anyone have one? Is it fun to shoot, accurate, etc? It looks like a neat piece, and I do love retro guns...

Definitely old school design.

I don't believe the Hungarian has any active or passive safety system except for a grip safety.
(No thumb safety, no half cock on the hammer, not an inertia firing pin, etc)

SO, carrying one loaded is out of the question.

The German version made during WWII had a manual thumb safety at least.

I enjoyed mine very much. .32ACP version - brought home from WWII by my grandfather. It shot well, accurate and smooth IMO. It had both a thumb safety and grip safety, and a half-cock hammer position (I think).

Unfortunately it was stolen from the apartment I lived in about nine years ago :(
