I have one, and they do make good little plinkers. Surprisingly accurate, too. The slide and frame material are soft, so they won't last forever, but if you keep it well lubed (especially the bottom of the slide that rides over the hammer), it should serve you for awhile.

The slide mounted safety will start falling down into the "on" position after awhile, but this is nothing a little super glue won't fix. I also removed the mag safety from mine.

You should still be able to find the range kit (5" barrel and magazine w/extended base) for about $35. Good to have.

I bought one several months back and I'm having a blast with it. I've put several brands of bulk ammo through it and haven't had a jam yet. Very reliable and accurate for the price. I wouldn't use it as my primary CCW but it makes a great glovebox backup or plinker.

I have owned one for a year and a half and enjoy it. I was having some FTF problems with it but it was do to not using the right ammo. As soon as I went to CCI standard velocity ammo then the issue disappeared.
Good luck with yours,
Howard

I've had 2 and love them. Buy replacement recoil springs and replace them every 500-800rounds and you will enjoy countless thousands of rounds thru them. They do like to have the ramp rubbed clean after 100 rounds or so and you should consider removing the mag safety to keep from going insane but other than that you will enjoy your new gun.

A friend of mine has one. It's probably the worst pistol I have ever fired.

It wasn't uncommon for every single round in the magazine to malfunction. Failures to eject, extract, feed, double feeds, light strikes, everything.

When it actually fired, it was wildly inaccurate.

It seems like most people get better ones. Most people. I hope yours is a good one.

The slide and frame material are soft,

Cast zinc like a Hot Wheels car.

i bought one last spring. it took a while to figure out what to feed it. i started out with the cci standard velocity 1070fps 40gr lrn that i feed my marlin model 60s but that didnt work so i went through everything else i had and nothing worked then figuring hey why not i stuck some remington thunderbolts in it. 16 flawless magazines later i quit for the day.

thats the worst ammo on the planet in my opinion all i normally put it in is a revolver or in my daughters bolt action because its so inconsistant that its worthless in my semi auto rifles but for some reason that pistol only functions with it. and the gun is a lot of fun.

Bought mine in September of 2009. Haven't shot but maybe 200 or so rounds from it, but they were all trouble-free ones, and went where I wanted them to go. The gun feels good in my hand. I actually enjoyed shooting it more than my Ruger Mk-II, probably because shooting the Ruger is too easy..
