Are we talking about Teal or Canada geese?

One weighs 12 ounces and the other weighs 12 pounds.

Around here the main waterfowl are wood duck, mallards and canada geese.
I use #4 steel if I know it will be woodies, BB if I know I'm shooting geese, but since I'm likely to see any I usually split the difference and load #2 steel in the magazne. Not the best choice for any, but will work for any.

#2 steel works for me on all ducks

Mainly for ducks, like mallards, wood ducks, it's going to be out in the everglades never seen many geese out there.

For all ducks I use 3in. magnum #6 Hevi-Shot.

For geese I use 3in. magnum Copper Plated BB`s.

If no geese then #4 steel would probably do just fine. You might have to pass on some longer shots where #2's might be a bit better. Split the difference if you can find #3's.

I use #3 steel for duck. If Bisimuth is available try that... although it is expensive

#3 or 4 will be fine for ducks.

Magnum 3.5 inch BB or BBB steel from Kent for Canadian Geese. I love the Kent loads. Reasonable and work well.

Don't get sucked into the 3 1/2 inch shell thing if you are only doing ducks. Use what you can find, and pass on the far shots. Get them over decoys if you can.

2 or 3 steel, Winchester hispeed, 2 3/4". That's what I use. Does a fine job, reaches out there as far as 3", and is affordable at walmart. :D I find 4 steel a bit light for big ducks at longer ranges.
