Has anyone chronographed the 16 1/2" Ruger Compacts especially in 243?

I haven't, but I read some numbers somewhere on th .308 model. I think it was down around 2400 fps. I would think the .243 would suffer even more.

Steve, thanks for the response. The data off the IMR site using 4831 is accurate as I have chronograhed this load from a 22" barrel. That was giving about 3050 and a 100 grain bullet. That should offset some of the velocity loss based on factory ammo. Byron
