Just got my new Dillon CV-750 tumbler. So quiet, I almost can't even tell it's running. Anybody else use one?

The 750 is the big one right? I was thinking about getting one maybe the 650 I just have 308,9mm and 45/70 cases to clean.

I just picked up a CV-500 in a trade. It runs quieter than my old Midway 1292, but not significantly so. Still a bit noisier than I want to have running next to me.

No, 750 is the small one.

I have a large one and it is very quiet also.

A lot of the sound generated depends upon the "fill". That is to say, the ratio of cases to media. I find on my CV-500 that the noisier it is, the more violent the vibration and therefore the cleaner the cases seem to get.

I cannot seem to come up with the correct "fill" to make my CV-2000 work satisfactorily. Maybe because I never have 2000 cases to clean at any time.

I get the whole Dillon is great thing.
I have a 550 that I love.

But are the Dillon tumblers somehow better than say a Lyman, or Berry's?
I have a Lyman 1200 turbo that I paid about $50 for 2 years ago.

What am I missing?

Hondo I know my shooting partner has the Lyman and a old CV-500 that died and he is going to replace the Dillon with another one.

I stumbled into mine in a package deal and trade , no way would I pay what they cost BUT on the other hand it's night and day nicer then my Midway tumbler

The Dillon is in no way the same league as the Burr Kings we have at work but then again they are no where near the cost
