Ok so im new here but i have been readin up for a while behind the scenes on the gsg 1911 my very near future purchase :-) .. Very helpful.. Now for my questions. I bought a ruger p91dc a few months ago and am in love with it ive already put at least 1000 rounds through it and not a single f2f or any thing. Does anybody know if somebody makes replacement hammers or triggers for this like skelaton pieces.. Also is there inywhere to go to get a custom barrel made, i would like to have a threaded barrel because i would like to add a suppressor. Im just trying to make this piece as nice as possible. Thanks for Any help

There's hardly any aftermarket parts available for the Ruger P-Series. This is primarily because of 2 reasons: one, Ruger built these guns rock-solid, so almost nothing ever goes wrong with them that would support an aftermarket parts market. Second, the opinion among many is that these guns are ugly and unrefined compared to, say, a Glock, Smith, or a Beretta. They feel it would be polishing a turd.
This combination has led to a severe lack of aftermarket parts for these guns. They're perfectly fine weapons. Very reliable, very accurate, very solidly built pieces. My Ruger P90 is definitely high on my list of handguns I'd rely on in an emergency, and that is why it has permanent duty as my car gun. However, it is what it is. There's not much that can be done to improve it. It's not a Glock, it's not a Springfield XD. It's not a 1911. It's a cold, hard piece of industrial metal that was built right to begin with, with no compromises to looking pretty. Many people hate it for that, but it does its job, and does its job well.

The only thing that you can do to the Ruger P series is to replace the mainspring with some thing lighter and that's about it. I know Bar Sto doesn't make barrels for Ruger pistols but check EFK/Fire Dragon they might.
