I thought I was done with handguns but my new g/f wants her own handgun.

Has anyone actually bought a handgun this year?

What was your experience like? What hoops did you go through?

I believe Airwolf has done it. I don't know if he's still regularly checking the forums though.

I just bought one.Airwolf's thread tells the story.
Heres the part that cracks me up,when I did the thumb print,
I put my thumb on the pad and then on the form.Surprise,
no thumbprint! I ask the guy "whats this, invisible ink?"
He says its some "special"ink.
I don't know about that, but all in all it was pretty painless.
The State is definetly making it a hassle but we can show them we won't be deterred. :neener:

Starting this year you must pay $25 and get an actual (they call it this) handgun license to buy a handgun in Kali.

(The BOR does not apply in the People's Republic of Kalifornistan.)

Plus, they have new anti-gun enforcement units looking for folks who forgot to cross a "T" on a form 37 years ago, complete with black uniforms and battering rams.

It's a sad state of affairs.
