Anybody in AZ Hear Me On The Radio???

Hi Guys, I was just wondering if any HighRoaders in Arizona just heard me on the Charles Heller show on Tucson's KJLL 1330? I was on from noon to one pm Sunday California time. Heller does a Sunday show called "Liberty Watch: America Armed and Free," and he invited me on to talk about my book.
It's a guns and freedom show all the way, most of the commercials I heard were all for guns, ranges and shooting stuff. Now I'm wondering if anybody at all heard it, and if they did, if I sounded like a total geek or what! This was my first hour long radio interview show, so I'm pretty excited, please excuse my vanity post.

P95Carry:
Charles Heller has an archive of his shows linked on the KJLL website, but mine's not on it yet.

The guy was totally cool, a serious shooter and RKBA advocate. His PSAs were a hoot, and for bumper music he played very good shooting-oriented stuff. One catchy country tune he used was "I've Got a .45 Caliber Woman on my Mind." You had to hear it, it was really funny. KJLL uses CNN News at the bottom of the hour, and he had a sort of "Anti-CNN Disclaimer" that he ran just before it aired.
KJLL carries Imus, O'reilly, Leikus and other nationally synidcated programs during the week, but I don't know if ten or 10,000 people in Arizona heard this Sunday show today.

Thx for the URL .. your hour sounds good by all accounts. I don't know long it'll be before the MP3 gets put up there but I'll try and watch out soon. If meantime you get to know it is up ... do drop back to this thread to give the heads up.
We have plenty of AZ members here so - hope very much you reached some of them.

I'll do that, I'll keep an eye out for the archived show and link it when it appears. It's funny, reaching shooters. Some are online, some have seen my books at gun shows or seen the little postcard covers at ranges. Hopefully some are radio listeners. Plus, it was good practice for future radio shows.

I've known Charles for many years and listen to his show when I'm in the States. He was my CCW instructor last summer. It would be great if his show were syndicated and played over a wider area. It would sure open up a lot of peoples eyes.

After a quick book-touting of yours, Matt, found out that you'll be on Revolution Radio sometime soon. NE CO AFN 1360AM band - 8AM Saturdays.
Paul & Nick are plenty fun folk .....

Looks like a must read. Will send you a letter. I saw it at the Puyallup, WA gun show, but 'smithing books and a few others took up my book budget for that show. Plus a new 10/22 stainless for me, and an Autauga .32 BUG for my lady :D

labgrade: I'm not familiar with Revolution Radio, do they have a website? You mentioned EFAD to them? If you have any contact info, I'd be glad to send them a review copy.

Omega7,
You saw it at Puyallup? DRATS! I was there Saturday and couldn't find anyone with them. :(
It was on my list of must haves.
Hopefully someone will have it in Monroe in two weeks.

Bluesbear: Maybe you can ask the gun sellers at the show why they don't have this book for sale?
http://matthewbracken.web.aplus.net/bookcover.jpg
I can send you some postcard-sized copies of the cover to hand to them for ordering info, if you want to help me out!

I will look for the archived show and listen. Are you aware of the 'High Noon' radio show here in the Phoenix area on Saturdays? The host is Steve Cates (alias Dr. Sky) and is on KXEM-AM 1010 at (what else) noon-2pm. This show deals with firearms related topics as well as other issues of interest. One show a month is dedicated to astronomy/space issues. Steve puts on a good show which has a growing audience. You might want to contact him through the KXEM website to arrange an interview to promote your book. I think he might be interested.

dsgrntldPW: Thanks for the contact info! Maybe I can "leverage" the Tucson AM 1330 appearance into a Pheonix appearance.
Thanks!
Hey, if anybody else has a local "gun talk" radio show, please let me know.

I went to Del Mar last weekend and not a sould there had "Enemies Foreign and Domestic" for sale. Even the guy with 4 copies of UC along with a bunch of others.
I'd like to hear you on the radio here. You should try to get on Rick Roberts' show on KFMB. I listen every morning.
Something Else: Travis McGee? The book says Matthew Bracken. I'm sure, for some reason I look real dumb right now.

Way before I even began to write EFAD, I had chosen Travis McGee as my computer screen name. TM was a famous fictional character in many great novels by the late great John D. McDonald, written from the 60s to the 80s. Now that I've written this book, I'm going by both names, since my real name ain't a secret any more to say the least!

AR-15Nutt: Too bad you missed last Sunday's Heller show! I thought his pro-gun ads and PSAs were all great too! The whole show was terrific.
I live in the PRK, so we aren't allowed to own AR-15s out here.

Leveraged off of americannewsnet.com (blow off the BS main web-page-stuff & go the the link for contact info ... they just said you were scheduled for an interview ... ) No, I'm not a pure proponent, but that's where they're at. I know the two guys that do the show, with another "frequent flyer," .....
Paul's read your book, he's an ex-Marine & very much-so one of us.
You'll like the support offered by the radio show talk-host-guys & any call-ins.
Trust me. From my call-in 2 weeks ago, I've already gotten about 20+ voicemails indicating decent support for your book.

I'm not even sure my radio does AM...
I think I might have to bust out my grandpa's old 8-track, I think that might have an AM radio in it...
Sunday after I was still a bit occupied with post-Valentines Day breakfast...

Matt!! Excellent Sir .. have listened to that right thru. You did good.
I sure as heck take your points re the ''adrenaline junkies'' in SWAT ... it's those guys who I think many of us fear .... break in and forget what the warrent was about. If we could feel we were on the receiving end of ''normal'' people then there'd seemingly appear to be a chance of not being shot out of hand.
Keep up the good work. Kudos to you.:)
