I believe I need to submit form 5300.38 to transfer my FFL from Virginia to West Virginia but just curious what questions need to be answered for a C&R move. It appears that most of the questions relate to a business and wouldn't apply. Any help would be appreciated.

While on the subject of moving, can one transfer a CCW permit or should I just wait until mine expires and apply for a new one in WV? Thanks!

Contact your divisional office for the right form, it was pretty straight forward from what I remember. I did it a few months ago and I think all I needed was the old address, the new address, send over my FFL, then the ATF sent an agent to ensure the facility was ok and they sent over a new FFL to me. If you're moving, you don't really "transfer" your permit, you'll need to reapply in your new state and if you plan on keeping the carry permit in Virginia, change your old address to reflect you new address provided the accept out of state applicants.
