Please pick me a cheap practice BB gun

I'm looking to buy a decent BB gun. Not looking for anything fancy, just something to shoot when I can't make it to the range.

It should be:

- 100 bucks or under
- Accurate as possible for the budget

Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

CO2? Pump? Rifle? Handgun?

I have a Daisy model 693 (Modeled after a S&W) that is surprisingly accurate and fun to shoot. They go for around $50. The trigger is a bit stiff as is the grip safety but over all its a nice littel budget CO2 gun.

The model 645 with the rifled barrel might prove to be a bit more accurate. I usually dont have a problem hitting a 3" targt at about 7 yards. ( thats as long of a lane as I can get in my basement)

I prefer non-CO2, and either a handgun or a rifle would be fine. Thanks.

In that case, The Gamo Delta is a nice single shot break action rifle that is plenty accurate and can be found for under $70.

Looks like just the ticket. Thanks!

And I always suggest the Beeman P3 .177 pellet pistol (forget the OEM name, isn't it a Webley Tempest?). Just a hair over your budget ($130's). Most pellet rifles are too loud and might get attention from my backyard neighbors.

Hmm. Noise is a factor. Where can I buy airguns online?

Most of the retailers at the following site carry much more than just Daisy:

Try Cabelas as well.

I believe the Beeman P3 is actually the Weihrauch HW40. It's nice, but it's a bit hard to cock. The Webley Hurricane and Tempest models are also very nice, and are avalible from Beeman as well. If you don't mind pumping your gun up, there's also the Benjamin-Sheridan models distributed by Crosman.

Okay, when I see people throwing around names like Gamo, Sheridan, Benjamin, whatever, I immediately realize I'm outclassed. Nonetheless, I bought a Crosman 2100B combination BB and .177 pellet gun for $57, and it's been perfectly reliable and surprisingly accurate. The plastic stocks are remarkably ugly, but the darn gun sure can shoot. Supposedly shoots up to 755 fps, but who knows.

Don't be! Remember - it's what's behind the trigger that counts.

BTW.. Gamo really doesn't outclass anything. Now when you start talking about Daystates, Ripleys, and Whiscombs...
:D

Enjoy your 2100! A friend of mine has probably taken excess of 200 squirrels and 50 rabbits with his, along with countless starlings and crows.

Gees, I've never even heard of Daystates, Ripleys, and Whiscombs... I'm even more ignorant than I thought. My wife would not be surprised to hear this, if I were to tell her, which I won't. Still, I'm glad you can vouch for the 2100 as a pretty darn decent combo BB/pellet gun for a low price. I've been pleasantly surprised with it.

But this little toy certainly DOES!

Izhmash Yunker-3 air rifle.
CO2, 18-rd mag, .177 BB.

Entirely made of steel, most parts are original AK. Even the muzzle brake and folding stock aren't fake.

Yeah, the Yunker is cool. I wish I bought one.

The receiver is a real AK too, so I heard. :)

hmmmm
Where might I be able to get one of those "yunker" rifles?

Official Site of the Yunker 2 and 3 (http://www.izhmash.ru/eng/product/yunker2.shtml)

Dunno where you can find one, though. I tried searching on www.auctionarms.com, www.gunsamerica.com and www.gunbroker.com and didn't find a thing. :(

"Where might I be able to get one of those "yunker" rifles?"

Try some of the German online gun shops.

It is 350 euros, so it is more than 400 USD.

Crap, $400+? Nevermind, that's too much. Sigh:(

The Yunkers got banned from U.S. import exactly because the "reciever" was an honest-to-God AK reciever!

It gets better. It's an AK reciever with all three holes...

If you have one, some quiet research into how to turn it in might be a good idea, or you'd best keep real quiet. Being prosecuted for NFA violations isn't much fun.
