Too bad the General wasn't really packing. He coulda threw a little chlorine in the ole gene pool. Still, that's great.
Semper Fi, Sir.

Maybe the Dems should dump Clark and go with Zinni instead?

"You're crazy," wailed the crook, as an accomplice pulled up in a getaway car.
"You're goddamn right!" replied Zinni. He reached into his car and bluffed: "If you want to see a gun, I'll show you one."

AG Curran probably wants to lock up Zinni for being crazy, as only crazy people keep guns around for protection.

Kharn...

That's the item that qualified in General for gun discussion...:)

"... and bluffed..." -

He didn't have one.

Re statistics: I wonder how many time just mentioning "gun" has run a gremlin off. Have to be careful or the antis will be wanting to eliminate that word from our vocabulary - or license its use.

Ironbarr:
Oops, I deleted a few too many words when I editted my post. He's crazy because he both claimed he had a gun, and because he was bluffing.

I knew an old black dude who was trained by the Corps. He was walking down the street in Berkeley one day and going to his van. A bad dude saw him...

"Nice van," says the bad dude.

"Thank you," replies the old black dude.

"Gimme the keys," demands the bad dude.

"Huh?" says the old black dude as he cups his ear and harmlessly approaches.

"Gimme the keys!" shouts the bad dude.

"Speak up louder son, I can't hear you," replies the old black dude as he steps closer again.

"Gimme the keys M*******!"

WHAM. Palm strike from the old black dude to the chin of the bad dude, snapping his head back and causing him to fall on the ground. The impact knocks him unconscious. Old black dude looks at his palm, climbs into his van and drives away.

The next week, he's walking down the same street and sees the same bad dude. Bad dude sees him, gets saucered eye and jaywalks across the street to avoid our friend the Old black dude.

You go Sgt. F.! Semper Fi & R.I.P. old warrior. :)

Sounds like a man who should carry a good knife. I bet he could have removed garbage from gene pool before the getaway driver realized anything was wrong. Maybe even two for one. :)

I'm surprised they didn't dredge up some cop to point out how "foolish" the general was to actually fight off his attacker. Somebody might have gotten hurt.

Most criminal-types are shocked when they encounter a man, as few of them grew up around actual men.

Kinda reminds me of the time a couple years ago when John Glenn was giving a speech somewhere, and a guy walked up and tried to punch him, and he grabbed the guy. Yes, Glenn is a Dem, and a lib, but he let the Marine that's still in him slip out for a moment...
