I just bought a new Ruger MK3 .22lr pistol. I went out to sight it in and had to crank the rear adjustable sight pretty much all the way to the right ti get it to hit on target. I have owned several Ruger MK pistols and have never had to adjust one this far. What do you think ? The sights are on tight. Muzzle crown looks good. I think for $400 it should not be this far off !!!

Send it back to Ruger and let them fix it if you're not happy with it.

Have you tried tapping the entire rear site over?Don't hit it too hard. And use a small piece of plastic between the punch and the site. That way you won't mar the site.

suggest you call ruger and ask to speak with a technician. tell him the problem and ask him what to do. he'll either give you a quick fix, or have you ship the gun back. also, ask him for a shipping label. freight is expensive. fwiw
