I just ordered one of these up in .44magnum. I'm bouncing off the walls with excitement too, I've wanted this gun for years and Ruger finally went and made it for me.

For those of you who don't know what this special pistol is, Acusport had Ruger do up a short run of 5.5" stainless Bisleys. These are not Vaqueros, but full Bisleys. I Thought sure they'd be out about five years ago when the Stainless Bisley Vaqueros came out, but was dissapointed. I wrote Ruger a letter asking for it, but was disapointed. I even looked into having one done up special by a local "Smith" but after seeing the price was dissapointed. No More, she's mine and on the way. :D

Just had to share my excitement

You will like your new S.S. Bisley. I bought 3 of the Acusport Bisleys in .45 Colt. I have one that is NIB , One that I shoot a lot and one of them I sent to David Clements for conversion to .500 Linebaugh. If you have not seen the pictures of the Clements gun try the link below. I can't say enough good things about the Acusport Bisleys. Most will need trigger work and most of the .45s need their throats opened a bit for cast bullets but these are minor things that can be fixed.

The Clements pistol is very sharp looking. I'm gonna have to hold off on a .500 Linebaugh though. I'm not up to that level of recoil just yet. :uhoh:

I was thinking about converting my .45 Colt Accusport Bisley to .500L. How much did that job cost you? Could you detail exactly what he did?
