Anyone know anything about these scopes? I bought one in 4-12x44 and while I know a little about them, I don't know much. I know they are supposed to be one of Simmons higher end scopes that they made back in the 80's. This one has the finish worn off where the rings were more than I'd have liked, but the rest of the scope is in good shape with the glass looking near perfect. It's a really clear scope. I also know they came in a wooden box, which I don't have. I also don't have the yellow lens covers that came with it, but I do have the sunshade. Anyone know an approximate value on just the scope and sunshade in this condition? Is this a good scope? Anyone have any other info on them?

I had one, bought where I could compare side by side with others in the same price range. I took the Presidential over the rest, it was a good clear scope, better than other Simmons I have seen since.

I think it is worth exactly what you paid for it.

It's actually made in Japan, but I've heard decent things about their scopes that are made in Japan as well.
