Wow for a limited time this place is selling the Taurus 24/7 OSS for $339.95. I have no affiliations with this place. Has anyone done business with The Gun Source ??? Seems like an excellent deal. Merry Christmas and God Bless :)

Sounds like a good deal.
Problem is I have all I can handle now. :)
PT111 Mil Pro, PT132 Mil Pro-3 of them, PT709-1 of those, 2 PT-22s.
Get them while you can because most places are getting the 24/7's replacements in. New stock don't you know.

I own this pistol. Also they don't make them any more.
I wouldn't purchase one again. Compared to glocks and m&p's, they aren't as reliable. I always got like 1 or 2 failure to feeds per 100rds with 45acp fmj. Hollow points wouldn't work at all. Multiple failures per magazine. I had the second gen mags which were better designed than the first gen. Failures were with both mags.
On the plus side, their SA/DA striker fired trigger system is awesome. Never seen anything like it. Makes complete sense if you want to carry the weapon on DA with the safety off as the trigger pull on DA mode is lighter than 10lbs, unlike hammer fired weapons which are usually in excess of 13lbs.

Yes you are correct in that they are probably replacing it all with the new G2 models and just trying to clear our the old new stock. Merry Christmas and God Bless :)

Interesting I just performed a google search for the term glock gun problems and I received back About 6,550,000 results (0.16 seconds)
I then performed the same search terms of taurus gun problems and I received back About 6,480,000 results (0.14 seconds)
So does that tell me that Taurus is better than glock ??? Just saying that you can't believe everything you read on the internet. Merry Christmas and God Bless :)

I have two of these ( 45 ACP & 9mm ). Have not put a lot of rounds through either. Maybe 200-300 each. A few hollow point, but mostly ball. Have had zero issues. They are definately NOT target pistols, but are plenty accurate enough for self defense. I personally like the way they fit my hand. Especially considering the round capacity. Like the double strike capability, and really like the decocker. A co-worker bought one in 9mm, and asked me to show him how to break it down for cleaning. The barrel on his was VERY difficult to remove from the slide. It needed a little dremil work.
That's a really good price. If you don't like it, you could probably turn it for a small profit later.

I agree with the above post whole heartedly:) Having said that, The glock is a cheap gun that works most of the time and a taurus is a cheap gun that is simply a cheap gun.

What good is a life time warranty if they will not fix them if it won't work? Yes other guns have problems! But they usealy will fix a NIB. that won't work or replace it! NOT TAURUS! They can sell that pistol for $200 & I still would not buy it! Taurus Co. can go under for all I care! That is the way they treat good consumers then that is what they deserve!!

Give the overall proof of that you two.
I can bring 101 typing paper sized sets of links, documented, that the 24/7 does work, that Taurus does fix it things right and well.
Otherwise it would be wise to bring actual detailed and verifiable facts to the fore.

The naysayers just cannot say anything nice to a person or about them and their picks. It just isn't in the blood.

If they are replacing this with the G2 and you can get the G2 at Cheaper than Dirt for $350.00 I'd probably buy the G2.

They are both clearly better than Sig Sauer and HK.
I got 8.3 million for "HK Pistol Problems" which is nothing compared to the 13 million + I got for Sig Sauer!

No it's that HK and Sig owners know how to use computers.

Im sure I will offend some folks but My personal experience with taurus has been spotty at best. I have owned a PT92 "beretta knock off" and a 22 revolver. The 92 copy works 85-95% of the time and the .22 revolver was a total turd.
I will not spend $300 for a piece of junk when I could save up and buy a good gun for $500:evil: To each there own I guess

What has that got to do with 24/7s? I love the way people go off on tangents that have nothing to do with the model being discussed!

Take a look at this.
31 Pages of 24/7s and right from the actual owners of 24/7s.

My post had nothing to do with the model being discussed what so ever and I would like to say that I am sorry for the comment. The 24/7 seems like a very affordable pistol and I was just trying to relay some of the past expience I have had with the company. I am sure the model at hand has a great track record and taurus has a lifetime policy.

Google search counts aren't a very good metric to use. Using that method if people reported gun problems with any brand and anyone responded with "Get a Glock!" then it'll turn up on a search for "glock gun problems" ;).

Well, I guess I can defend the pistol as it's what I carry about 80% of the time. I have had absolutely NO problems with it at all, literally none. I have put probably 1000 rounds through it.
I like the pistol, I don't really like the trigger pull, it took a bit to get used to and I am proficient with it now.
However, I am in the process of saving for an M&P.
