Been wanting a nice modern longer range bolt action with a scope and after reading a bunch of reviews and doing my own research settled on the Savage. I bought mine in .30-06. Really looking forward to getting it out as I've heard nothing but good things about the quality of them for the money.

IMO for the money Savage bolt actions are very impressive I have a friend that has an older pre-Accu trigger model 10 in 243 and it shoots under half an inch at 100 using just about any brand of factory ammo. In fact I was so impressed that I ordered a model 11F in 22-250 a few days ago from Buds.

That's exactly what I read and why I settled on this one, well that and I didn't have thousands to spend!

The acutrigger on these has got nothing but raves and is supposed to be really impressive. Hoping it will be in and I can pick it up on fri/sat. I would love to get to the range this weekend and it seems the weather is going to cooperate!

I have a pre-accutrigger 110 in .270 win and a 110 with Accutrigger in 7mm Rem Mag. Both impressive rifles. You won't be disappointed.

Savage makes a nice rifle for the money and the accutrigger is a very good factory trigger. I've cut a couple coils off of my "target" rifle and gotten the pull weight way down in lue of purchasing an expensive trigger for now. Many new rifles out of the box are MOA with the right ammo. Post up a few pictures and a range report if you get a chance.

savages aren't cheap anymore. Stevens are but not Savage. For the money it should be good.

I have a 116 300 win mag and a 11 223 both pre accu-trigger both shoot very well.I did have to do a little file work and adjusting on the 300 to improve the trigger.both shoot minute of snuff can at 150yrds rite out of the box. the plastic stock is not that nice to look at but is definately funcional. i would like to replace the stocks with laminate but being lefty's they are hard to find.

I have a 111 non accu trigger, non accu stock. in .270.
with winchester super-x 130gr it will hold 1inch groups at 100yards, 2 1/2 (barrel was pretty warm) inches at 200y.

I've got a few hand loads waiting to take to the range when it warms up a little.

Excellent! This is all good to hear.

Glad I got the acu-trigger for sure. I handled a few and really liked them. Had to order the one in .30-06 as they didn't have it in in that chambering.

Really looking forward to getting it and seeing what it does straight out of the box.

I'm going to pick up a set of dies and start re-loading .30-06 which I know will be able to really dial it in.
