If your local Wal-Mart sells firearms, Savage makes a package rifle specifically for them with a $397 pricetag. Comes with the Accu-Trigger and is available in short action (.243 and .308) or long action (.270 and .30-06). I've bought two specifically as donor actions. You can reuse the scope bases. The scope is OK as a backup (Bushnell Sportsman 3-9x40) or for a plinker and the rings are good as spares. You can hang onto the barrel (rechamber to AI format to use for fireforming?) or sell it to recoup some.
