You folks might like to know what really goes on with Taurus firearms.

By the way I own over 20 Tauri revolvers and 7 Tauri pistols.

They work very well!

I also own SIG,Beretta, Springfield,and Ruger products.

This link tour is presented, but I have nothing to do with the tour.

Two other incredible gents did!

Thanks goes to them and all they've done.:D

Thanks goes to Taurus for offering the tour and has NO connection to the Taurus forum in any way. That's a true disclaimer!

That's a very interesting read. I think people forget how complicated manufacturing processes get and that does a good job of showing the scale of such an operation.

I hope that they are right about the direction Taurus is trying to take with their customer service and quality control. They've always been a bit sneered at, so it would be nice to see them try to rise above it. Full disclosure - I'm one who is guilty of said sneering. However, if this factory tour is true to it's words I'd be willing to eat a little crow and give them a shot.

I'd like to know what models are manufactured at this plant.

Enough that it affects their quality control.

not true. The g2 series, slim series, 800 series, 92/99 series, and some of their revolvers say made in miami, FL on the slide. There may be more i don't know about.

All the PT92's I have ever seen say made in Brazil.

i wish we had more clarification on this, as a future PT92 is something I'm interested in. I love my Beretta 96, but would like a 9mm in the same platform, for a bit less.

All the PT92's I have ever seen say made in Brazil.

Maybe many have been made in brazil, but the Taurus website right now says otherwise.

They all say Miami, On the opposite side they say made in Brazil.

well damn. That's confusing.

Apparently, only the TCP and the berreta bobcat copies are made in miami.

Then how the hell do they sell high cap mags with the pistols made in brazil? I thought the importation ban applied to pistols as well as high capacity rifles.

I don't think that applies to anything but "assault rifles".

I was just quoting the article. Could be more made in Miami for all I know.

The Taurus website is indeed in need of updating.

The Taurus website is indeed in need of updating.

Especially since they claim they have an 11 round capacity 1911 magazine option on the PT1911 series, when in fact they do not, and do not even know if it will go into production.
The customer service agent said it was "an idea we've been kicking around".
