Do they make any for the CZ/Witness line? I must admit, a normal DA pull for me is quite a stretch. Any links or ideas would be appreciated.

The newer Witness trigger is as short as I've seen as standard production.
You can buy the newer triggers direct from EAA.

My older stainless Witness .45 had a trigger ALMOST as bad as the CZ triggers, so I built a new one for myself, that lays as far back as possible, yet still allows DA trigger action.

After this, I modified several other CZ/Witness guns by cutting the trigger off just below the frame window, and welding a new finger piece in it's place. This is easier than fabricating a new trigger.

I used a longer, thicker piece of material so I could properly fit it by filing the finger piece for clearance and curve.

The newer EAA Witness guns have a much better trigger than the older models, but for some reason CZ just refuses to do anything about their ridiculous and unnecessarily long reach.

dfariswheel-Do you have any pictures ya could post of the modified CZ trigger?
Have been thinking about having this done. If some one manufactured a drop in short replacement, bet it would sell well.

Sorry, I'm not set up to do pictures.

Go the the EAA web site, and look at the triggers on their new guns.
My conversion looks just like that, but is more closely matched to the gun.

By that, I mean that I fitted the trigger finger piece so that it's as far back in the guard as it can be, and still allow the trigger to function.

In my conversion, by a EXTENSIVE amount of try and fit, I could use the area of the frame in the rear of the trigger guard as a trigger stop.

My conversions looked just like the new EAA trigger, and sit so slightly farther to the rear, they are almost indistinguishable from the current EAA.

Unless you've got the skills or a good gunsmith, I now recommend buying a new EAA trigger.
