Hannukah Present!

So, the final day of Hannukah has passed, I stuffed to the gils, want to not see a single drop of oil in the next month even remotely near my food and well, my wife and in-laws have combined their forces for an amazing gift!

The gun is a RIA Officer size, that is the only oiece I had before.
The box is handmade from my wife, who actually sewed the cushion in a classic Army color. The box is straight from some local crafts store and was "aged" with two layers of stain.
I have yet to decide where the Army crest goes on it.
This is one happy LT!
Oh yeah, the grips are the thinnest available alumagrips, custom ordered.

Great! Now get that thing to the range. And take your wife with you so she can see how much you like it.
BTW, get some pictures while you're at it. I want to see how it shoots.l

Hannukah? I was expecting a Barak or maybe Jericho. That's pretty doggone cool - and wife made the box to boot. Looks like you've got a keeper, and a nice pistol too.;)

If my wife would only appreciate guns and gun sports enough to do something like that for me it may mean something serious is going to happen (like the end of the world -- or SOMETHING)!!
With that being said, I cannot complain, I have a wonderful wife (she just doesn't enjoy anything gun-related).

Ahhh but was the gun lubed with latke oil?
and if that's the case, when you shoot it, should you use sour cream or apple sauce as a condiment?

"Knukus" is close. More like "nahas"- it's a gutteral "h". Anyway, another "mazel tov" from my house to yours.

My Irish/Italian Catholic Fiancee asked me what we should for Hannukah. I haven't celebrated Hannukah legitimately since college. But now I've got an idea for when we are married.
Day One-- One Hundred Rounds of Ammo for my three favorite calibers-- .45 ACP, .357 Magnum, and .223
Day Two-- Cleaning Kits For my three favorite calibers
Day Three-- Cleaning and lubing all the guns of my three favorite calibers
Day Four -- Buying me one of the guns belonging to my three favorite caliber (thousand dollar budget)
Day Five --- Buying my wife one of the guns she wants (thousand dollar budget)
Day Six --- Stripping, Tuning, and Checking the guns we bought. Plus handloading ammo for the next days shooting (just a few hundred rounds per each caliber)
Day Seven --- A whole lot of shooting together.
She gets to keep her Christmas where I get stuck sleeping less than four hours a night for three days in a row (not drinking any alcohol mind you, at least not enough to make the events enjoyable), not eating any good food till I get to my parent's house, and the exchange of cheap knick-knacks from the grab bag deal they do, plus my annual supply of clean T-Shirts, Socks, and Underwear (her family, not mine).
I get to get a new gun each year, she gets to get a new gun each (I doubt that tradition will last once we have kids), we get to have a lot of fun enjoying our hobby (I'm thankful for a Shiksah that loves to shoot .45 ACP out of my Ruger P345 and various 1911s she can rent at the range), I get to decompress, and somewhere along the line I'll make big heaping potato pancakes full of diced ham, cheddar cheese, scrambled egg, chives, and onions. Then put it into a flour tortilla shell with sour scream. LOL.
