I recently stumbled across a new product....well new to me. It's called a "Ghostblind" ...check out www.ghostblind.com or try youtube..there are a bunch of videos.

Well...it certainly would work on humans...that thing will hide you anywhere.

But what about deer.....I know they see things differently than we do..

Is this thing a waste of money? Or the next best thing to a portable blind??

Opinions? Thoughts? Rants?

I noticed that, in their slide show, they never place the Ghostblind in the same spot as the fabric blinds; it's always in a completely different type of scene. Also, it will certainly only work from one angle because it looks like it is no more than a mirror wall. If they come up from behind, you're busted. I wonder if all variables are not just right (lighting, foliage, etc.), that it might be useless.

Interesting though, I don't use blinds.

Looks like a standard next "best" thing to me, but I'm not convinced its necessary. Sportsmen are well-known for being drawn to the next best thing, whether it's necessary or not.

For what it's worth, I know more successful hunters who still-hunt in brown Carhartt coveralls than successful hunters who hunt from a stand or blind in the latest camo.

No personal or secondhand experience whether the Ghostblind works or not.

i looked at them too...cool idea but too heavy, too expensive and prone to damage etc.....if the deer can smell you i doesnt matter what your hidding behind

I was gonna make one to mount on the front of the ATV so I could just back into some brush and sit on the bike. Havent gotten to it yet but I can see some potential here.
My plan is to use 1/8'' plexiglass and automotive mirror window tint in a trifold configuration. Nothing too fancy but even if it doesnt work out for game it should hide the bike pretty well while I'm away.
