frankenstein-ing a hybrid holster???

ok i've been hearing a lot about how everyone loves the hybrid iwb holsters. so i've decided to try and make my own as kind of a bored project. the question is could i use the front part of my fobus holster and just mount it onto the leather or whatever material i decide to use??? also can you re-form the fobus material? any answers would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

Incase anyone wants to know, i tried this and it works great. Sure does look like hell because i slapped it together but it works great. Also , turns out that you cant re-mold the fobus material (or at least i wasnt able to) i dont think its kydex. Anyway end result works great looks terrible but who cares.

I mounted a glock sport holster to leather to make a sweeeeeeet little iwb holster for about 15 bucks.

Well show the folks at home how terrible it looks....I've sat thru many a Frankenstein movie, so I can take it.
