Question for RCMODEL Stevens 44

rc I have a Stevens 44 that has a barrel on it with the name HORST on it. Did you ever hear of a barrel maker by or gunsmith by that name? Can't seem to find any info.

No, doesn't ring any bells.

I would imagine it is the gunsmith who put the barrel on & stocked it though.

Germanic name - almost Schuetzen style Position target rifle = back east somewhere would be my guesstimate.
