I am looking for one of these locally. I will be attending a gun show and hope to run across some of the cosmo soaked unissued ones. I am looking for a deal and would like to buy sight seen. What is the realistic going price for these to date? Particulary an un-issued one. Thank you. Edited to mention prices expected in the michigan area.

Some will tell you not to spend more than $200 on one. Some will tell you about the days when they could buy them for $50 apiece.
The fact is...the going price for an unissued SKS Yugo 59/66 with grnade launcher and night sights is around $300. If you check around, there are companies asking even more than that!
I picked up EXACTLY what you are requesting just a couple months ago. I paid $305 for it..plus tax. It is brand spankin' new!! Unissued...built in 1972. I absolutely love it! If you can find one that is in the condition you request...and it's anywhere between $250 and $425...you make the call.
If the rifle I bought was selling for $400...I probably would have bought it. It's a little challenge to find them in perfect shape and unissued..so when you do find one...don't get frugile all of a sudden. Let's face it...for a hundred dollars..is it worth waiting til' the next nice one shows up..maybe months down the road? However..you make the call.

They are plentiful and the quality shines. The woodstock s are from beautiful pieces of hardwood. We re so lucky theyve been importing them for a good 11 yrs unlike the Russian and Chicoms they only lasted about 5-6 yrs.

In Arizona - Traded my 59/66+some accessories and ammo off for a gun that was retailing at $400 a year ago. My rifle sold for $425 a few weeks later. The shop owner kept the swag that wasn't originally with the rifle.

I had a really nice M 59 Yugo that i traded for a VG Swedish M 96. That thing was a beaut with all matching numbers and cosmolene in all nooks and crannies. But i was needing a nice Swede, life goes on...
