Is a TGI AMD 65 really that much better than a CAI AMD 65?

I've been looking around a bit and it seems that not only do TGI's cost more, they're getting harder to find, but i keep hearing they're better than CAI's.

edit: and i just looked on TGI's website, and the AMD-65 is listed under "previously carried firearms" which i'm assuming means they don't make/assemble them anymore...

idk, from what i've seen is that TGI's are usually all matching and with hungarian chrome barrels, whereas CAI's are parts kits with ****box us made barrels...

Centerfire Systems has the TGI built ones for a little over $400 (a few months ago it was less than $400). I really like mine. I've never seen a Century built one, but I doubt they'd be much cheaper (the WASRs tend to go for more than a TGI AMD-65) and they certainly wouldn't be better quality. Ie, essentially new from the factory with all matching parts (less those swapped for 922r) and new chrome lined barrel. As I said, I really like mine and it was hard to beat the price on a 7.62 AK.

The TGI's have the correct barrel and matching parts (all milspec Hungarian except Tapco G2 trigger pack). Mine has been flawless. Only downside is that you have to use a 922 compliant US made magazine for it to be in compliance.

The Century guns have mixed match parts thrown together by monkeys. They also have incorrect 16" barrels which are probably not chromed lined.

Just for the. record, I haven't seen a CAI build but I did have issues with my TGI. The trigger spring was installed incorrectly, not allowing the trigger to reset. Also, the spot weld holding the muzzle brake on broke.
